ARE YOU READY FOR A PUPPY?
Some questions you will want to think about and consider
before making the commitment to bringing home a new puppy.

Are you in a stable living situation?
Is everyone in the household/family on board with adding a puppy/dog to the family? For the next 12 to 15 years?
Do you have a fenced yard?
Do you have other pets? how will adding a puppy/dog affect them?
How is your work schedule going to affect having a puppy/dog?
Does anyone in your family have animal allergies?

Are you familiar with Goldendoodles/Sheepadoodles/Poodles or OES? and their needs? training, socializing, grooming?

What qualities are you looking for in a dog? what qualities would you not want in a dog?
What kind of temperament and/or personality are you looking for in a dog?
Do you have a color of dog in mind? Red/Apricot/Cream/Brown/Black/Multi colored?
Do you want a male or female puppy/dog? Do you know the differences between them?
Are you wanting just a pet? or do you want to have a dog that does sports/agility? Therapy? A working dog?
What is a typical day in your life like? What part of that would your new dog share?
Will someone be home with the puppy during the day? If not, how do you plan on dealing with potty training/housebreaking etc?
How much time do you have available for a young dog?

Where will the puppy stay during the day? Where will it sleep at night?
Do you understand that adding a puppy to the family is like adding a human baby/toddler?
Are you familiar with crate training, and how it can help with house training a new puppy?

How much time/budget are you willing to spend on grooming? either at home or at a groomer?
Brushing, combing, bathing, toenails, sanitary and face trims.

How much are you willing to budget for food, toys, and veterinary costs?

Are you familiar with the newest information about Spaying/Neutering? Safer Vaccine schedules? Titer testing?
In the event of an emergency (Hospitalization, natural disaster etc...) Who would take care of your dog?
What will you do with your dog when you go on a vacation trip?

Thank you for taking the time to think about these questions carefully.

Our goal is to breed puppies who are healthy, who have wonderful temperaments, and are ready for their future with the right family or individual.
We have taken great care in choosing our breeding dogs and have tested them for possible genetic health, hip, eye, and elbow problems.
We are just as careful in placing our puppies with prospective families!

We hope these questions will help future potential puppy families think about these things before bringing a puppy home. To ensure that they are truly ready to care for their new family member.

Thank you for your interest in Heavenly Hilltop Farm Puppies. We look forward to meeting you in the near future!
Sincerely,
William & Paula Saunders
